The Brisbane Tigers are pleased to announce Ben King will step into the role of Interim Head Coach following the departure of James Lenihan.
Ben brings strong coaching experience, leadership and a deep understanding of the club, having previously been involved with the Tigers program. His appointment provides continuity and stability for the playing group and broader club operations, and we are pleased to welcome him back to the club.
Brisbane Tigers CEO Mitch Cook welcomed Ben back to the Tigers.
“Ben understands our club, our people and the direction we’re heading. His experience, leadership and familiarity with the Tigers make him a strong fit to guide the program through this transition period, and we’re very pleased to welcome him back to the club.”
— Mitch Cook, CEO, Brisbane Tigers
King said he was excited by the opportunity to return to the Tigers.
“The Brisbane Tigers is a club with a proud history and strong people, so I’m grateful for the opportunity to return and support the group. I’m looking forward to working closely with the players and staff and continuing the strong foundations already in place.”
— Ben King
The Brisbane Tigers look forward to Ben leading the program as the club continues its focus on success both on and off the field.
