The Brisbane Tigers are looking to add more wins under their belt ahead of this weekend’s clash against the CQ Capras at Rugby Park in Rockhampton. The match will be streamed live on QPlus.tv from 6:00pm AEST.
It’s only been two months since the Tigers last met with the Capras at Totally Workwear Stadium, where, after an intense try for try battle, both teams drew at 26 all.
Since then, the Tigers had their first victory of the season beating the Falcons 26–18 in round 5 with another win in the following round against Souths Logan Magpies 26–14. In round 7 the Tigers fell just short of a win against the Blackhawks with the final score being 18-22.
The Capras have lost 3 out of their last four rounds after their first win of the season against the Mackay Cutters with the final score sitting at 36-16 in round 2.
With one victory, a draw and a bye round the Capras are situated tenth on the Hostplus Cup ladder with the Tigers following closely behind sitting in 11th place after 2 wins and a draw.
Head Coach Matt Church named his 24-man squad on Tuesday for this weekend’s clash. The starting team remains unchanged from the previous round against the Blackhawks. Church has named Bennett Leslie, Blake Anders, Madison Beckett, Nathan Kegg-King, Tahj Wood and Tony Thompson in the extended interchange.
