Vale Shane McNally – Tiger #713

Our Club is deeply saddened by the recent passing of former player and coach, Shane NcNally.

A talented prop-forward, Shane played 107 first-grade games for the Tigers and was a member of the 1982 State League and the 1983 premiership winning teams.

Shane still holds the Club’s point scoring record with 871 points, and leading goal kicker with 406 goals.

Shane was also the leading point-scorer three times in the Brisbane A grade competition and represented Queensland in 1983.

After a playing career, Shane had a long coaching career, including stints at the Tigers, Wakefield-Trinity and the Wynnum Manly Seagulls.

Shane also had a long career in rugby league development and administration, including roles with the Queensland Rugby League, Brisbane Rugby League and the Northern Territory Institute of Sport.

Our sincere condolences to Shane’s wife Maxine, his sons and daughters, and all his family and friends.

Funeral details to come.
