The Suzuki Brisbane Tigers will host the PNG Hunters for their Hostplus Cup clash this Sunday at Totally Workwear Stadium, Langlands Park for Women in League Round.
This week, we are calling on the Rugby League community to celebrate how far we have come and recognise we are far from done.
There is more to do to create equal opportunity across the game and keep building pathways for women, on and off the field.
From grassroots fields, to corporate boardrooms, it is up to all of us to keep playing our part for progress, because there is more to play for.

A preview from Suzuki Brisbane Tigers’ Hostplus Cup coach Matt Church:
“Tweed Seagulls got the jump on us in Kilcoy last round for Country Week.
We probably did not prepare as well as we would have liked, but we should have been better than that and we should have been able to match their intensity.
Unfortunately, we did not and they got away with a good win.
You are always in for a tough battle against the PNG Hunters.
They are very physical and, having coached them for the last three years, I know what they are good at and what they are not good at, so we certainly have to match their intensity and physicality.
But there are aspects of their game that they are yet to learn or still can be exposed in and around how they play their football, so we would like to target those areas.
Rugby League is a celebration of the PNG culture, they love to play the sport.
Fans would come up and talk to me after the game and say that they had driven for hours to get to the game and so they certainly show their passion and show their intent.
They will turn up on the weekend.”
