The Queensland Rugby League is excited to announce an extended Intrust Super Cup broadcast schedule after partnering with Kayo Sports to stream an exclusive fixture on each Saturday of the regular season.
The free and easily accessible streaming of one Saturday Intrust Super Cup game each weekend through Kayo Freebies will provide even more viewing options for fans of Queensland’s premier statewide competition.
Fans can access Kayo Freebies by downloading the Kayo Sports app or visiting www.kayosports.com.au/freebies and registering for an account. Kayo Freebies are free and no credit card details are required to register and start streaming.
QRL chief operating officer Rohan Sawyer said it was a huge coup for the game to partner with Australia’s biggest sports streaming service.
“Kayo has not only seen the value in the Intrust Super Cup as a product but also the importance of engaging with Queensland rugby league fans,” Sawyer said.
“Our fans will get greater access to their favourite team and will see more Intrust Super Cup this year than ever before thanks to this partnership.
“The QRL is committed to expanding our coverage in 2021 and this announcement with Kayo is another step in the right direction.”
The streaming of one Intrust Super Cup game each Saturday on Kayo Freebies will align with QRL’s Intrust Super Sunday, which was unveiled in December.
The new multi-channel broadcasting strategy will showcase Queensland’s premier grade rugby league for fans of the Intrust Super Cup, BHP Premiership, and other state-wide competitions.
Intrust Super Sundays will be available on a variety of platforms including 9Now, QRL’s official website (qrl.com.au), the Intrust Super Cup app as well as on the NRL Network.
The Round 1 clash between the PNG Hunters and Wynnum Manly Seagulls at Kevin Bycroft Fields will be the first game available and exclusive on Kayo Freebies on Saturday, March 20.
This will be followed by QRL’s broadcast of the Intrust Super Cup game between Souths Logan Magpies and Burleigh Bears on Sunday, March 21 at Davies Park.
