The Brisbane Tigers are proud to announce that Rhett Tronc has re-signed as Head Coach of the club’s BMD Premiership side for a further two years, extending his tenure through to the end of the 2027 season.
Tronc, who took the reins this season, delivered a remarkable campaign that will forever be etched in club and competition history. Under his guidance, the Tigers women’s side achieved the extraordinary feat of going through the entire season undefeated, culminating in a BMD Premiership Grand Final victory.
The perfect season not only secured the Tigers their first-ever BMD Premiership title, but also made history as the first undefeated campaign in the competition’s history.
Tigers CEO Mitch Cook praised Tronc’s impact both on and off the field.
“We are delighted to extend Rhett’s leadership through to 2027. Since stepping into the BMD Premiership coaching role, he has built a culture defined by resilience, professionalism, and success. His ability to develop talent, inspire belief and drive performance has been pivotal to our program, and this re-signing reflects our confidence in Rhett’s continued ability to lead and strengthen our winning culture.”
Tronc is looking forward to re-committing to the Tigers.
“With success comes responsibility, re-signing with the Tigers is about levelling up from what we achieved in 2025 and driving the club toward lasting success. I’ve already begun preparations for 2026 on Monday, and am really looking forward to what next year holds for us.”
With Tronc at the helm, the Tigers will continue to build on their pathways for women’s rugby league, providing opportunities for the next generation of talent.
The Brisbane Tigers congratulate Rhett on his re-signing and look forward to even more success under his leadership.
