Former Brisbane Broncos Under 20’s and QLD U18’s player Lachlan Lanskey will officially join the Suzuki Brisbane Tigers Hostplus Cup side for the 2022 season after impressing in a pre-season train and trial opportunity.

Lanskey, 24, was a part of the Tigers BRL A grade side from 2018 to 2019 prior to the club withdrawing from the competition.

He went on to play for the Tigers feeder club Carina Tigers for the past two seasons before being signed to the Tigers other feeder club in Bulimba Bulldogs for 2022.

Speaking of being signed to the Tigers, the Norths Devils junior said “it means a lot. With the run of injuries I had a few years back, I had given up on the hope of playing at the Queensland Cup level”.

“I really appreciate the opportunity JB (Jon Buchanan) and the staff gave me to join the squad for the pre-season and put myself in the best position possible to be playing good footy again.

“There is a great group of blokes around the club and it’s exciting to be a part of it”, he added.

Speaking of his 2022 season aspirations, Lanskey said “it’s more so about staying fit and healthy. 2021 was my first full season in the last 7 years so I’m hoping to emulate that and be playing consistent footy, and hopefully getting a crack with the big boys along the way”.

Welcome to the Tigers family Lachi!
