The BMD Premiership season launched this weekend with plenty of talent spread through the teams across the state.
There are eight participating teams this year taking part in the newly-renamed competition and all sides feature a mix of experienced and representative players, including State of Origin and international stars.
Most clubs will start their season without their NRLW players who are still taking part in the 2021 season of the competition, but many players are expected to filter back into the BMD Premiership competition in coming weeks.

Brisbane Tigers
Brisbane Tigers have snagged the biggest signing of the competition with Harvey Norman Queensland Maroons captain Ali Brigginshaw following in the footsteps of her father Larry to play with the club. The Tigers performed well with a young squad last season and the experience of their core group, plus the addition of other experienced players including Jamie-Lee Lewis, Shenae Ciesiolka and Shellie Long, will have them in the mix for the finals.
