The Brisbane Tigers can confirm that Zane Dunford has departed the club to take up an exciting opportunity with the Huddersfield Giants in the Betfred Super League.
Zane made a strong impression during his time at the Tigers, contributing both on the field and in the community through his work as the Rising community officer. His dedication, energy and connection with the club’s community made him a valued member of the organisation.
CEO Mitch Cook reflected warmly on Zane’s contribution to the club.
“It’s been a genuine pleasure having Zane here at the Brisbane Tigers. Not only did he bring effort and commitment every time he played, but the work he did as our Rising community officer showed real care for this club and what it stands for. This is a tremendous opportunity for Zane and one he thoroughly deserves. We wish him nothing but the best with the Huddersfield Giants.”
Zane now heads to the UK to join the Giants, bringing his talents to the English competition.
Reflecting on his time in Brisbane, Dunford expressed his gratitude to everyone at the club.
“It was an incredible experience being part of the Brisbane Tigers. I’m so grateful for the opportunity and for the welcome I received from everyone here. I’ll take a lot of great memories with me.”
