The Suzuki Brisbane Tigers are pleased to announce the appointment of Mitch Cook as the Club’s Chief Executive Officer.

Cook is the current CEO of the QCCS Mackay Cutters, a position he has held since 2021, and brings a wealth of experience to the role.

Cook has extensive experience at national and state level sports management, holding roles with the Cutters, the NRL and the Collingwood Football Club.

A former strength and conditioning manager with the Cutters, Cook has a Bachelor of Sport and Recreation Management, a Masters in Sports Coaching, as well as qualifications in elite athlete wellbeing management.

Brisbane Tigers Club President, Keith Phillips, said that the Club is delighted to have Mitch join the Club as the Tigers CEO.

Mitch was a standout applicant, from a very highly qualified and experienced list of applicants, and we have no doubt Mitch will do a wonderful job taking the Club forward as our new CEO, Phillips added.

Cook said, “I am deeply honoured to take on the role of CEO at the Brisbane Tigers and build upon the strong foundation laid by Brian Torpy. I look forward to driving the club’s success both on and off the field and engaging with the Tigers dedicated supporters and community.”

“Leaving the Mackay Cutters is bittersweet, but I am excited about the future with the Brisbane Tigers. My focus will be on fostering talent, strengthening our competitive edge, and ensuring that the Tigers remain a powerhouse in the league.”

Cook will commence with the Tigers in early September.
