HASTINGS DEERING COLTS

Round 15: Suzuki Brisbane Tigers 52 def Ipswich Jets 14

Our Colts recorded an emphatic win at home against the last-placed Ipswich Jets to guarantee a top-found ladder finish ahead of finals kicking off later in the month.

Fullback Lachlan West scored a hat-trick and set up a fourth try in our Tigers big win over the Jets. West – who picked up QRL’s Heavy Lifter honours for the second time this year – also had 176 run metres, four tackle busts, two line breaks and one line break assist.

Front rower Casey Morgan was also strong, making a jaw-dropping 190 run metres in 45 minutes with two tackle breaks.

The nine-tries-to-three victory sees our Suzuki Brisbane Tigers move up to second-position on the ladder, only behind competition leaders Tweed Seagulls on for-and-against heading into the final round of the regular season this coming weekend.
