The Suzuki Brisbane Tigers are pleased to announce the signing of Saimone Ahomana and Huskie Teutau for the 2023 Hostplus Cup season.
They join the Club after both featuring for the Tigers affiliate BRL Premier Grade club Bulimba Bulldogs in 2022.
Ahomana, 22, a Sunbury Tigers junior who grew up playing rugby league alongside former Tigers brothers Haele and Sione Finau joins the Club on a one-year contract.
“It really means a lot coming (from Victoria Thunderbolts) to the unknown and progressing”.
“I’m really grateful for the opportunity presented to me”.
“I’m looking forward to the challenge and hopefully playing good footy”.
“We have great coaches and great people around me that I know will help with my development”, he added.
Teutau, 33, an Ellerslie Eagles and Manukau Magpies New Zealand junior also joins the club on a one-year contract.
Huskie debuted for the Ipswich Jets in 2015 and went on to play his 100th Queensland Cup game in August 2019.
“I feel honoured to be back playing again at Cup level and honoured to Easts for giving me the opportunity to play again at this level”.
“It means a lot to me, I have yet to show my full potential since I’ve missed three years from playing in Cup”.
“I’m looking forward to playing alongside the boys and to show the competition the hard work we have been doing”, he added.
