The Suzuki Brisbane Tigers will face the Redcliffe Dolphins for Hostplus Cup and Hastings Deering Colts clashes this Saturday at our home den, Totally Workwork Stadium at Langlands Park.
The Club will also celebrate our 1983 Tigers and their grand final victory against the Dolphins.
The Tigers won the 1983 Grand Final against Redcliffe 14 to 6, a historic premiership win at Langlands Park.

In an epic top-of-the-table showdown, our undefeated Colts take on the first-placed Dolphins at our home den at Totally Workwear Stadium.
A preview from Suzuki Brisbane Tigers’ Hastings Deering Premiership coach Mark Gliddon:
“Last weekend we played the Central Queensland Capras, and it was really pleasing to get the result.
They are a tough footy side and they do not go away and they did not go away on the day. I do not think the score indicated the effort that they put in.
The most pleasing aspect of the game was our defence, and we only leaked one try.
Lachlan West was really good for us. He ran 250 metres, scored three tries and is playing some really handy footy. I would love nothing more than to see Lachie get an opportunity to play in the Hostplus Cup this year.
Redcliffe are a really good football team. I have done a review on them and they are big and aggressive.
Their halves are really good and their No. 9 has played NRL, so we need to show up on the day and with plenty of intent. We are a bit banged up, but I know our guys are really looking forward to it.
It would be great if we could get as many supporters as possible here to support the Colts ahead of the Hostplus Cup game.
It is a big day for the Tigers, we have our 1983 reunion on as well as our old boys day, so it should be a cracking day for football.”

Hostplus Cup
Round 13: Suzuki Brisbane Tigers v Redcliffe Dolphins
Match Kick off: 5.30pm

Location: Totally Workwear Stadium, Langlands Park
Our Hostplus Cup Tigers are third on the ladder and go into Saturday’s clash with fourth-placed Redcliffe Dolphins with the opportunity to cement their position near the top of the ladder.
After the third-placed Suzuki Brisbane Tigers edged out previously fourth-placed CQ Capras in a nail-biter last week, our Tigers this weekend meet the Ben Te’o-coached Dolphins who leapfrogged the Capras to move into the top four after Round 12.
Our Tigers have won their eight of their last nine games, while Redcliffe have won their last six games.

A preview from Suzuki Brisbane Tigers’ Hostplus Cup coach Matt Church:
“I was really happy to get away with the win against the Capras last weekend. We were really brave defensively, and I think the stats really backed that up.
They had 54 percent possession and 60 percent field territory. We did a lot of defending of our own line and it certainly was a bruising contest.
It had that finals intensity about it, which is good. So it was a really good one to get away with a win.
It is two weeks in a row that we take on the team that is just below us on the ladder. It is definitely an important game for the club.
I think it sort of sets up the back end of our year if we can get the right result.
Redcliffe are a really physical side, they have big middles and they play a power game. So we want to make sure we put in a good performance.
It will be a really good game against Redcliffe. It is certainly one we are looking forward to and I think it will be worth the contest on a day we honour our 1983 premiership winning team.”
