A preview from Suzuki Brisbane Tigers’ Hostplus Cup coach Matt Church:

“It is a tough trip, and it is really cold in the middle of winter, to play in Toowoomba. So to get the win against the Clydesdales last week was really good.

I thought we tried to play too sideways in the first half, though we did score three tries on the wing with George.

But once we started to punch holes through the middle of them, I thought we were a lot more effective. So it was just getting that game plan on.

George Jennings was fantastic and Tom Rafter also had a really good game. So there are some really positive signs.

But we probably did not go there with the greatest mindset. So we need to just sharpen that up.

Country Round is always a good week, and we are travelling a relatively short distance, compared to other teams, to Kilcoy.

It is an important event for the communities in the country and a great product for the Hostplus Cup to advertise our talents.

Tweed are a footy side that like to move the ball around. They have had a number of players that have played for a long period of time together.

They know each other well and they combine well. So we definitely have to be on our toes and be able to nullify their shifting capabilities.

They are a team that will always test you, and they will always back their skill.”
