The Suzuki Brisbane Tigers have today confirmed that new recruit Gerard Beale has departed the club effective immediately to take up an offer from the St George Illawarra Dragons for the remainder of the 2021 NRL Telstra Premiership season.
Beale has joined the Dragons club to provide a much-needed boost to their diminished outside back stocks.
He debuted for the Tigers club in the 2021 Intrust Super Cup round 1 clash against the Norths Devils at Totally Workwear Stadium and went on to play six games.
While disappointed, Coach Jon Buchanan didn’t underestimate what an impact the 194 NRL game player made on the playing squad.
“He has been here for a brief 6 months, but within that time has had a massive influence on all of our younger guys around the club. We’ll miss him and that’s not even on the footy field”, he said.
The Club wishes Gerard, wife Roi and kids Nixon, Maxwell and Matisse all the very best.
Thank you Gerard!
