Torpy returns to Tigers

The Suzuki Brisbane Tigers are pleased to welcome back Cameron Torpy to our 2023 Hostplus Cup squad.

Returning from a short stint with the Albi Tigers in France, the 25-year-old prop will look to add to his resume of 17 Hostplus Cup games.

“To play rugby league overseas has always been a dream of mine and I was extremely grateful to be given the opportunity at Albi to do so.”

“It was an incredible experience that allowed myself to be immersed into the French life.”

“I’ve made new mates and memories that will last forever.”

Speaking of his return to the Tigers, Torpy said “It’s a whole new squad and with that naturally brings excitement”.

“The vibes are high at training and everyone is feeding off that.”

“I like to think I can bring some aggression to the pack and I’ve been working hard in the off season to be able to push through more minutes.”

“Our first home game for the season is a big occasion with the opening of the new stadium and we can’t wait to have all Tigers supporters there”, he added.

Welcome back to the Tigers family Torps!
