Natapu joins list of Storm Pathways Tigers Signing

Victoria Thunderbolt player Jay ‘Jack’ Natapu will call the Suzuki Brisbane Tigers home for the 2023 Hostplus Cup season.

Natapu, a showcase of the Melbourne Storm pathways system joins the Club after playing with the Thunderbolts in the NSW Rugby League Jersey Flegg competition.

He joins a list of Storm pathways players to progress through to the Tigers which includes brothers Haele and Sione Finau.

The 21-year old prop is widely regarded as a player of the future by the Storm earning the Greg Brentnall Young Achievers Award in the 2021 season.

Speaking of his move to the Tigers, the Northern Thunder junior said “It was an easy decision knowing the culture and success of the Tigers”.

“It’s an opportunity for me to further develop and progress through the Storm pathways system”.

“I’m looking forward to getting amongst the playing group and coaching staff, and the opportunity to build good relationships with them on and off the field during the year”.

“Hopefully it will lead on to making my debut for the club in 2023”, he added.
