Ipswich Jets will be at home to Brisbane Tigers this Sunday in the only game of Hastings Deering Colts to be played in Round 14 – Week 1 of the competition.

Like most teams, the Jets come into this game after having last weekend off with the Hostplus Cup action being taken to remote and regional areas for ‘Activate! Queensland’ County Week.

However, their opposition this weekend, the Tigers, played last Friday night, defeating Norths Devils in a close 26-24 triumph at Bishop Park.

The Tigers are on a roll and were also victors in their Round 13 match, overpowering Souths Logan Magpies 54-16.

Fullback Lachlan West – who has been named again for this upcoming match – crossed for a hat-trick in the victory and was the Hastings Deering Heavy lifter for the round.

The home side the Jets will also come into this weekend’s match with winning form behind them, having gotten the better of Mackay Cutters in their Round 13 match, posting a 30-26 away win at Mackay’s BB Print Stadium.

Prop Samson Sauaso scored a double in the win.

All other teams will have this weekend off and will be back in action next weekend for Round 17 – Week 2, with games taking place across August 6 – August 7.
