With the turn of a key and a healthy sounding click, Bronte Glenwright, 20 from Tarragindi walked away the biggest winner in the Easts Tigers match against Wynnum Manly at Langlands Park today.

In conjunction with Suzuki Queensland, Easts Tigers ran a lucky draw competition at each home game for the Tigers. The draws were to determine the finalists who at the end of the season, would have the chance to win a new Suzuki S-Cross SUV.

At today’s final home game, all of the winners from throughout the season were given the opportunity to draw a key from a bag so they could attempt to unlock the S-Cross.

Failed attempt after failed attempt to open the S-Cross with the correct key, saw only three participants remaining in the draw.

Bronte then stepped forward as a one-in-three chance to be holding the correct key matching the S-Cross.

And the odds rolled in her favour as her key clicked open the driver’s door.

That meant Bronte was about to be presented with the ownership papers by Suzuki Queensland General Manager, Mr Adam Le Fevre.

Bronte, a customer service representative at Temperzone (an air conditioning business based at Tingalpa) and who has been a Tigers member for past five years said: “I just crossed my fingers I turned the key and I thought ‘did that unlock?’ and it was unlocked – that was just the best feeling.”
