Former Junior Kiwi Tevaga joins the Tigers

Former Junior Kiwi Vito Tevaga will join the Suzuki Brisbane Tigers for the 2022 season.

Tevaga, 21, was recruited in 2019 by Cronulla Sharks out of Marcellin College in Auckland to play in their NSW Jersey Flegg side.

In 2021, he moved to the Penrith Panthers and played 3 and 8 games for their NSW Canterbury Cup and NSW Jersey Flegg sides respectively before their seasons were cancelled.

Speaking of his move to the Tigers, the NZ born junior said “I’ve heard and seen great things from the Brisbane Tigers”.

“I am looking forward to learning from the coaching staff and adapting to the clubs system and values.

“Brisbane is a new city for me so I’m looking forward to the new scenery and lifestyle”, he added.

Speaking of his 2022 season aspirations, Tevaga said “my goal for 2022 is to play consistent and good footy while improving my skills and continuing to develop through the system”.

Welcome to the Tigers family Vito!
