Former Dragon Barbuto joins the Tigers

Former St George Illawarra Dragon Blake Barbuto will join the Suzuki Brisbane Tigers for the 2022 season.

Barbuto, 21, has been a part of the Dragons NSW Jersey Flegg side for the past three seasons.

Speaking of his move to the Tigers, the St Patrick’s and Western Suburbs Red Devils junior said “I’m really looking forward to joining the Tigers to further improve my career”.

“The club is building a really strong roster and I can’t wait to rip in with the boys.

“The coach and club have been really inviting which is making the move (to Brisbane) a lot easier””, he added.

Speaking of his 2022 season aspirations, Barbuto said “my goal for 2022 is to play good consistent footy and to make a statement in the competition and hopefully bring the Tigers a finals birth”.

Blake, known for his versatility covers the hooker position as well as other positions.
