Former Bronco George Fai joins the Tigers

Former Broncos prop George Fai will join the Suzuki Brisbane Tigers for the 2022 season.

Fai, 25, was a member of the Brisbane Broncos from 2014-19 before giving the game away.

Two years on he is now ready to return to his destructive football ways which saw him make his NRL debut for the Broncos in 2017, as well as be in the top two players for Broncos feeder club Souths-Logan Magpies in their 2018 season.

Speaking of his return to rugby league, Fai said “he just can’t wait to get back into it”.

“I fell out of love with rugby league over the last two years and I think it was sort of a good thing to have a little break. It sort of helped me find the love for the game again.

“I think just coming back into the environment where I can be around the boys and get excited when we play on the weekend is sort of what i’m looking forward to the most”, he added.

The Logan Brothers junior will link up with former Coach JB (Jon Buchanan) and credits their relationship which ultimately iced his decision to join the Tigers.

“I knew JB was here and if there was anyone that can get me back to where I was in the past, I know he’s the one”, Fai said.

Speaking of his 2022 season aspirations, Fai said “hopefully win it (premiership) with the Tigers. We have a good team next year and hoping that with what JB has built we can get the job done and win the title”.

Welcome to the Tigers family Georgey!
