Tigers Announce its 2022 Sportsman’s Luncheon

Join us for our annual Suzuki Brisbane Tigers Sportsman’s Luncheon!

Your ticket includes entry into the event on Friday 19th August (12-3pm) at Victoria Park, a two course meal with three hour drinks package.

The day will be MC’ed by renowned sports broadcaster and rugby league commentator Peter Psaltis. Salty’s passion for sport and tribute to special events and occasions are highly sought after & received warmly by audiences everywhere.

The highlight of the event will be an excusive Q&A session featuring three of Australia’s most successful sporting club’s greats as well as a performance by comedian Christian Lutz.

Melbourne Storm Head Coach, Craig Bellamy
Known as one of the greatest coaches in the National Rugby League (NRL), Craig has enjoyed ultimate success having never lost an NRL season, maintaining a better than 50% win-loss ratio for each season he has coached. He is also enjoying a 70% win rate since coaching the Melbourne Storm in 2003.

Melbourne Storm General Manager of Football, Frank Ponissi
Arriving at the Storm in 2007, Frank has been a pivotal figure in the Storm’s success heading up the football department which has experienced on-going success despite all the challenges the game throws at them. His long-term partnership with coach Craig Bellamy is unmatched in recent NRL history and between them they have driven a strong club culture that has been a key factor in the club’s development on and off the field.

Melbourne Storm Co-Captain, Christian Welch
A Brisbane Tigers junior, Welchy has tasted ultimate success during his time at the Storm. He has 118 NRL appearances under his belt and a 77% win rate during a career that has spanned eight seasons. He has enjoyed three Grand Final appearances, one Premiership and a Queensland Maroons State of Origin series.

Christian Lutz Comedy
Christian Lutz is Australia’s laid back and relatable comedian, taking to comedy and corporate stages around the country. Bursting onto the comedy scene at RAW Comedy in 2013, he became WA State Finalist and went on to perform in front of crowds around Australia and the USA. As seen at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, he graces the countries best comedy lounges, and has quickly gained high praise from crowds and fellow comedians alike, with his brilliantly weaved stories making you laugh at every turn.
