The Easts Tigers are deeply saddened by the recent passing of former player and Coach Bill Carson (player #496), aged 78.
A goal kicking winger, Bill played for Easts Juniors before graduating to the senior ranks. Bill played first grade in the early 1960’s, before leaving to play in New Zealand in 1964.
Bill coached at Easts Juniors for many years and also coached a number of junior representative teams.
The Carson’s are well known at Langlands Park, with Bill’s brother Geoff (#613) and son Greg (#777) also playing for the Tigers.
A Foundation Member of the Eastern Suburbs Leagues Club, Bill will be sadly missed by the Tiger community.
