2020 SEASON DRAW UNVEILED

The QRL today released the 2020 Intrust Super Cup draw.

The Suzuki Easts Tigers will play 11 home games and 12 away games, including the “Get in the Game” Country Week in Round 17, as part of the 23 fixture matches.

Langlands Park will host eleven family-friendly home games, six to be played on a Saturday and five on a Sunday.

The Tigers kick-off our 2020 campaign against the CQ Capras on a Sunday afternoon at Langlands Park.

The QRL have combined the ANZAC Day and Rivalry Rounds, which will see us play the Ipswich Jets in another traditional grudge match on Sunday 26 April at home.

Other themed rounds include:

  • Round 10 Indigenous Round – Norths Devils at Pathion Park (formerly Bishop Park);
  • Round 21 Women in League – Townsville Blackhawks at Jack Manski Oval;
  • Round 23 Turn to Me Round – Redcliffe Dolphins at Langlands Park.

Tigers CEO Brian Torpy said the Club was happy with the draw.

“We play four of our first seven games at home, which provides a good opportunity to get out of the blocks early”, Torpy added.

Torpy said the Club’s travel schedule was good, with regional away games spread fairly evenly over the season.

Regional games include: Pride in round 3, Cutters in round 8, Capras in round 15, Country Week in round 17, Hunters in round 20 and Blackhawks in round 21.

The Tigers will play the 2019 Minor Premiers the Sunshine Coast Falcons in Country Week.

“The players love Country Week and we are looking forward to taking the game to the country once again”, Torpy said.

Teams we play once: Norths Devils (Away); Tweed Heads Seagulls (Home) and Sunshine Coast Falcons (Country Week).
